MONARCH
A tribute to Falcom's Lord Monarch. Grow your kingdom, take the land, topple your rivals.
Up to four players online, or against the computer.
Getting started
- Unzip the download anywhere and run Monarch.exe (Linux: Monarch.x86_64).
- Windows may warn that the app is unrecognised, because the game isn't code-signed. Choose More info → Run anyway.
- Play online: enter your name, Create room and send friends the 4-letter code (and password, if you set one). They use Join with the code. Empty kingdoms are run by the computer.
- Or try Play against the computer first.
How it plays
- Your bases grow, claim the land around them and send out units, who found new bases, clear forest and fight on their own.
- Tax is collected at your castle, but only while your king is home. Gold pays for new bases, bridges and barricades.
- Defeat a rival's king and his whole kingdom becomes yours. Be the last kingdom standing before day 3,000.
